Using Starlink as backup internet for your business
Most advice on this is written by people who resell the dish. The question that actually matters is what the site is for — whether you need a connection where there is none, or a second connection so the first one going down does not stop you trading.

Backup is not the same as coverage
If the site has a decent wired connection and the worry is an outage, you want failover — a second path that takes over automatically, without anyone noticing and without anyone having to do anything. Buying a dish and leaving it in a cupboard is not failover.
If the site has no usable connection at all — a yard, a trailer, a new build, somewhere rural — that is a coverage problem, and standalone Starlink Business is often the whole answer.
If the gap is your people rather than your buildings, neither of those helps. That is what satellite on the handset is for.
Why one bill matters more than it sounds
You can buy 5G from one place and a Starlink kit from another and wire them together yourself. Plenty of businesses do. It works, and it is usually cheaper on paper.
What you give up is that when the site drops at 6pm on a Friday, there are two vendors and neither of them owns the problem. SuperBroadband puts both on one bill and one support path, which is the reason most multi-site operators end up there.
Sizing it
The data block is the part people get wrong in both directions — paying for 2 TB at a site that runs a card machine and a camera, or buying 50 GB for somewhere that uploads video.
Tell us what the site does and we will size it and price it against the alternatives, including the option of not using satellite at all.

T-Mobile or AT&T?
Where each one actually wins, the pricing on six lines, and the catch in AT&T's advertised rate.
Read it →When does the price become negotiable?
Under 20 lines you pay the rate card. From 20 to 99 the carriers will quote you — but only if someone registers the account.
Read it →Independent advice, or straight to the carrier?
It costs the same either way. What changes is whether anyone is looking at the whole picture for you.

Fiber from one, 5G failover from the other — and when one bill with satellite behind it is the simpler answer.

About three weeks. Why the phones are never the hold-up, and how to avoid waiting on a fiber build.
